Hi all. Haven't been on the site for a while due to some injuries I was unable to go fishing. I went for the first time 2 days ago and even though I didn't catch anything it felt great to feel my rod in my hands! I feel like a beginner again but it sure felt sweet baiting my hook and taking that first cast! Hope everyone is having a great summer with plenty of time to do what we love..FISH ON!

Friend of mine on here is getting ready to have surgery and has done most of the work himself on his boat as far as sanding, etc. Need to find someone that is able to paint it at a good price? If you know of anyone or a good place, please let me know. Lives in Fall River, Ma. so anything close would be great but if not, something can be worked out, Thanks, Dale

Good Morning,

Almost time to put the boat in and catch some early bass. I need some help please. I will be vacationing on the Cape this summer (West Yarmouth) and heard there is some good bass fishing around there. Any suggestions you could give me would be great. Also looks like there are a lot of motor restrictions (size wise) on these lakes. Will they let me on these lakes with the motor up or prop off? Any info would be appreciated. Good Luck this spring.

Thanks Mike

Hi Everyone. It's the season again for catching the largemouths or whatever you prefer, hope everyone has good luck and a great year. Been out a couple times to 800 Broadway in Haverhill, a small pond and caught a few but nothing big. Seem to be biting slow but I prefer to fish that way, so all is good, lol. updates and pics coming soon. Again, wishing everyone a successful year and great bassin.

Thanks man. yeah that grill is amazing..kinda big but since we set up for 8-12 hours at a time it is worth it.

Yeah Simon got two nice 20's..the last one we measured and weighed and filled out the papers to submit it for a pin. It isn't gold pin material but it was a nice fish none the less. Be good to start getting Blackstone Carp on the lists.

You guys did alright at the tourney I see as well..chuck with a 7 pounder..Heck of a bass. Seems like it was a good weekend all around for fishing.

Will have to get together sometime soon.

Hey Philip,

Thanks for the message. That largemouth was 7lbs.
Caught in CT. lake in Winstead. Snagged it in early October. Take it easy and hope to catch the big one.

I would like to invite you to join in the Canoe and kayak bass tournament big fish takes all. $20.00 per person. Rules are simple. You most paddle your boat, No live bait, You most have a digital camera with a view screen. I will supply an official ruler, you will lay fish on ruler take a picture and at weigh in I will compare pictures and prize will be awarded to the longest large or small mouth bass. This will eliminate having to have a live well. I can be contacted at dcoffin@rayginn.com or 860-818-3270 to get a spot. The field will be limited to 20 boats.

Thanks for the welcome Napa. Holliston is nice but Natick is closer to "civilization"..at least you can walk to a store whereas in Holliston you have to drive anywhere you want to go.

Drew used to live in Natick and we both work in Natick (right on Route 9).

Thanks again for the message. Maybe we will meet in person at one of the tournaments.

Hey Brotha, This site does kick ass...we will make our fishing and techniques known to MA Fisherman. I couldn't ask for a better angling partner. The pursuit for the "True" Larry will never end until double digits in lbs is achieved! Let's make 2009b a year that the slobs will remember the tagteam DUO!

Hey,

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the videos, lord knows I liked making them Smile!

I'll give any advice I can, right now I'm about to hit the sack but check out the forums here under Carp or our website www.blackstonecarp.com tutorials. There is some basic info there to get you started, I also plan to write up a "getting started" carping article as well which I want to cover line, rigs, bait, times etc etc. I've been busy fishing and planning for some events coming up like Smokey the Bear's birthday this Sunday for instance. It is also time for me to go get donations for our Derby in September..I'm a volunteer in parks and I host a carp derby and such so I tend to get addled somedays Smile.

Anyway I'll talk to you more tomorrow I just wanted to drop a note so you didn't think I was ignoring you.
