Comment: yeah they spray late summer i think. bigtime algae blooms too.

yes to the jerkbait. there are some pretty nice dropoffs and some shallower water a shallow jerkbait would be good in. i'd suggest a yellow perch pattern.

Comment: Is the water clear enough to throw a jerkbait there?

Comment: No way Spy is as good a fishery as Mystic lakes

Comment: You're probably right Sam. I didn't go there at all last year.

Comment: I think they spray the weeds twice a year. First is about 1st June and another in the late summer?

Comment: When I've been there it was post weed kill so it was relatively clear. Maybe 5-8' of visibility. It looked brown because of the lack of weeds.

Comment: I'd say the clarity is about 1-3 feet and greenish.

Comment: there's nothing to blow up at spy. it's probably the most public, most accessible place in the area. and i honestly don't think i'll be going back any time soon.

Comment: that's awesome. i'll have to give it another shot. very easy access. the first time i went was post weed and the second was late fall.

i've caught a few in the 3 range but a lot of 1.25 lb. clones.

Comment: I love Spy. I'll fish Spy over the other lakes in the neighborhood like the Mystic(s) or Horn. It does get a lot of pressure in the summer.

Largest I got out of there last year was a 5.8, and got a few others in that same range.

Comment: What's the biggest people gave gotten here over the past few years? I've gone twice and it's been numbers for me not size. They do a lot of weedkill.

Comment: I moved away from Arlington at the end of 2012 and fished this place a lot before I left. This place in talking with others used to pretty good. Weed status has significantly changed over the last decade.

As for white perch, this place is absolutely loaded with them.
