Arizona
2/22/2014 - 2/23/2014

Went on vacation fishing in Arizona to escape the cold New England weather and get an early start to the 2014 season. Hired "The Arizona Fishing Guides" and had Rob Vander Kooi (Retired BASS Master and FLW pro ) as my guide.

The bite was slow at Bartlett but still managed to pull in a 3.5 pound and 2 pound largemouth.

At Apache the bite was on and I was able to land 8 total (4 smallies and 4 largemouth) with the biggest at 5 pounds ands smallest at 2 pounds.

Air temp was 50 in the morning and as high as 82 in the afternoon. Water temp was 56-58 degrees. The view of the landscape was breathtaking.

we went to cochituate on sunday because it was going to be bad weather on Tuesday. had the boat in the water by 7am. but the motor was not running right.so we decided to fish with the trolling motor.the fishing was slow and by 8;30 it was raining hard .at 10;30 we were going back to the ramp.to eat and wait out the rain. the motor was still problem so I called tracker boats. they told me I had to go though the break in period with the motor. I ad to run the motor up to 3500 rpm and vary the speed up and down for a hour.then up to 4500 for the second hour. pain in the ass.but worked .motor ran fine after that. we found a cove where the water was warmer and caught two nice bass and two pickerel. so it ended up beening a great day.
