Comment: down size minus1 or jerkbait could do the trick. Smaller spinnerbaits can be great for numbers any time of year.

Comment: After doing a little reading, I like that theory. Ponki is a shallow pond and would be a candidate for spring turnover. It would certainly account for the level of silt in the water. I also think the wind has contributed.

Comment: lol it is so tuff that ive resorted to targeting perch and sun fish with my little ultra light just so i can catch SOMETHING! hahaha! ive cought about 20 bluegills and 8 yellow perch over the past 2 weeks in 2 feet of water but have yet to hook anything bigger than a perch

Comment: It is tough out there, no doubt. Water temp. is still in the low 40's. No sign at all of fish in the shallows. We need some mild weather! Desperately! LOL
