Comment: Been there done that. I dropped a rod overboard the first time I went kayak fishing. Looked and looked but couldn't find it. Two weeks later I happened across it in about 5 feet of water when the sun hit the gold spool of my Penn reel just right. Needless to say, it was my best catch of the day!
