bassinbrooksy Got my first carp today on a bass rod and some corn. Wasnt fishing for carp until I saw them splashing all around shore so I threw out some corn I keep in my car and five minutes later bam! Fish on! Took almost 10 minutes to land it and broke 2 eyelets off my rod lol

bassinbrooksy so for s***s and giggle sthe setup i was using is a 7' medium berkley lightning shock rod with an abu cardinal 6 spooled with 15 lb power pro and a gamakatsu 1/0 wide gap finesse hook. 2 eyelets on my lightning rod got pulled out of the epoxy and i wasnt aware at how in shambles my poor rod was until after i put the fish back in the water lol
