theanegadaboner This 8 pound Bonefish was caught on a bait casting rod rigged with a number 6 hook baited with a chunk of hard-skinned conch, using 35 pound test line with a home-made wire leader, and for a little throwing weight; about a 7/8 inch socket tied on it's own line leader off of the wire leader. No swivel used. This Cow Wreck Rig is Cast, much like a Cowboy winding up to lasso a running calf -twirl over your head a few rounds and then, let her fly. For me that's about 7 - 8 Yards. This anegada boner was caught while we were SITTING AT THE BAR, (Voted BVI's " Best Beach Bar (2007)", and gets my vote for BEST BEACH BAR FISHING!) and it took about 35 minutes to land this big boy. He made excellent soup at the hands of Mama Bell. UUMMM Good.
