Comment: Hey kjud29, keep the posts coming. Does a fishing rod count as one of the 14 clubs in your bag? There are some huge lunkers lurking in golf ponds! The other year at the TPC River Highlands I was spending more time watching the fish breaking the surface on 17 than the players on the course.

Comment: angryjohn: i feel like the fish was larger because after only a few seconds, the bobber dove straight under. I've never seen a fish that could inhale a bait that big like it did

Comment: I broke a rod last year on "one that got away." Only difference was I broke the rod over my gunwale after the fish got away. Not very smart.

Comment: it does not take a very big LMB to take down a bait that size. I would guess it was about 3-4lbs, but i could be wrong. I have started to upsize my rods for the very same reason, and to get faster actions.
