Decided to hit ponkapaug after work on Saturday, after my second cast hooked onto a bass that could not hold and fit on the veiwer of my phone. Did the next best thing tryed to lay it in the kayak to take a full shot of the fish to get length reference marks off the kayak. When igot home I put a tape where the fish was and took a photo, need to get a new scale. Caught the fish off the big rock cssting out to the shallows favorite bait shown in photo

Headed to Long pond in Plymouth to checkout if they stocked. When I got there around 7:00 it was raining hard put out two lines using powerbait and within a half hour landed two nice holdovers. No more bites till around 10:00 and they where just small stockies then at 12:00 landed a fair sized stockie and called it a day. Long is stocked but not very hard, the water is still real warm.

Hit sunset lake early sunday morning. The morning started good with a few missed fish on top water, bait fish where close to the top would break the surface when the kayak went by. Manage to catch one 1lb 8oz. bass, one small pickerel and one white perch. Once the wind picked up the fish stopped biting. Lake looks like it is best in the early morning and at nite.

Started out at around 6 in the morning, the rain had just slowed so I could load the kayak on the truck. The rain was light when I hit the lake, fished the lili pads that where about 200 yards off the shore. The fishing was steady and fast and non stop. started by fishing with 5" senkos then changed over to a small popper for top water fishing. Could only get five pictures before the rain came down to hard to use the camera. Bass weights where between 1.11 and 3.8 lbs. the average was in the 2 lbs. plus range my scale could only record 10 fish but the end total was 20.8 lbs. also lost two large pickerel right at the kayak. little wet but all in all good day for three hours of fishing.

Had a late start got out at around 9:30, took the 126 trophy kayak out to canton res. fishing was slow a lot of small fish in the shallows. In some spots when your lure hit the water the surface would ripple form the small fish being disturbed. Only landed two fish, nothing in close both fish caught under the lilli pads farthest out in the lake. One fish was 2 lb. 2 oz. the other was 2 lb. 9 oz..
