bassinbrooksy New toy lol. Gotta say I only went out once but yak fishin seems sketchy to say the least lol. I had a few big carp bump me in shallow water and I felt naked and helpless out there lol

pikefishbass I used to use a similar kayak and really didn't like to fish out of it. I much prefer a canoe. I know that my buddies that use specialty kayaks, those with fisherman friendly designs, really enjoy them. I'm tempted to barrow one to see how much I would like it in comparison to the canoe. At any rate, a day on the water is always good, unless there is an accident. Tight lines!

bassinbrooksy Yeah this was given to me by mom in law so the first thing that popped in my head was make a rod holder/storage box and take it out fishing lol. Id like to try a hobie or something made for fishing

bloomagoo If you can learn to fish out of that thing you can fish out of ANY boat :) That's not really a good kayak for fishing, and the crate throws off the center of gravity. Get rid of the crate and install two flush mounted rod holders behind the seat. That should help the stability a little bit.

bloomagoo I forgot to tell you congrats on joining the ranks of kayak fishing. Maybe you'll make an appearance at a tournament, if you ever have a Saturday morning free.

bassinbrooksy thanks i have only tryed fishing from it once and was scared to say the least lol but if i get more time out in it and actually land a few fish im sure the jitters will go away and i may try a yak tourney at some point. we will see ;)
