kizel13 make sure your checking levels a lot before u release an other fish goldfish poop produces alot of ammonia thats why if they ever get settled into a regular pond the kill of all the other fish in it. I have a pond in my backyard that i built that is a koi/bass pond now
i have a couple of pumkin seeds in there as well

kizel13 id suggest another filter as well check out aquaclears they make an amazing filter you want the filter capability to double the size of your tank. so a 55 gallon tank you would want 2 pumps that are rated for a 55

bassinbrooksy as for the ammonia levels thats why they are in there cause its a brand new filter ,ive been testing my water a few times a day since i put them in there waiting for the ammonia levels to spike. once my ammonia level goes up ill be testing nitrates then nitrites in the hopes that my bactreia colony is growing and feeding. the actual pickerel i plan on putting in the tank isnt going in until after i have an established bacteria colony living in my bio filter then the goldfish are coming out. as for the filter pump i did plan on buying a second to double my filtration based solely off the fact of how much waste i assume a chain pickerel will produce. thanks for the info

bassinbrooksy also id love to see some pics of your pond. i wanna build one in my backyard lol. my bro in law rents my upstairs apartment from me and he has a bass tank with 2 little larrys i cought for him last years spawn, they were about 2 inches at the time and now the biggest one is about 6 inches! they grow fast! sadly 2 of the 4 are still alive but the other 2 died at the start of winter and the 2 still alive are doing well
