fishhawk7 west river .. as the the tidal pond dumped back out in the west river at the tide change... I went and had a look and there was a massive school of these guys eating everything that washed out of the pond.. I thought they were shad or alewives or herring but i guess i was wrong they were bunker and they like worms.

aqualung Never heard of catching bunker on bait, makes me wonder if it wasn't because of the specific location, either way very interesting.

fishhawk7 my friend has a theory .. we all know that bunker are filter feeders. So he thinks that worm was accidentally filtered in and when it swam away it hooked itself. They would swim up to the entrance of the canal and then back out into the west river. Plus it was a large school.
