I was there myself same results here 2nd time there skunked. Fished from 930 to 1. Guy fishing near me from mass. showed me a picture of a pike he caught last weekend 21lb 14oz. beautiful.said he got one 18 yesterday. a lot of patience. Went to mono pond in columbia after that.1 nice bass.wasnt thinking and broke off pulling through the hole by line.should have grabbed it by the mouth.Did you fish boat launch side? |

Im going up to a old reservoir in norwich tomarrow morning. Last week there were about 40 people out there and only 2 pickeral were caught all morning. |

All the Pike ive caught at Mansfield have been ice fishing.None yet this year.I will give it another shot this week.Your lucky your wife goes.I bought a bigger 21 ft boat so my wife would go salt water with me forget it.Went once bored.I dont get it. |

Yeah steve, end of february and 1st week of march is my peak time for schoolies down the thames.Just got the fisherman weekly mag and says rumors of a 21 pound pike out of mansfield caught.I believe it.Because the way the fishing has been there i think it ate everything in the lake.I like fluking around fishers island wilderness beach when the trawlers are not around. |

Welcome Steve,Just discovered this site recently myself.Good people of all types,not just tournament professionals and charge you to look.I especially like the topo maps .Looks like you get around alot.Do mostly salt water fishing myself,except for ice fishing. |

steve, there is good ice fishing but you got to get off the beaten path.Places like mansfield hollow forget it.To much pressure.I used to live up in your area.you ever try wareagan reservoir? Alexander lake.I heard its closed to the public now.put up a gate?Bibbons pond off of rt6 north windham. |
