Pre-fishing For Another Arrogance Tourney

Bassturds and I decided to go same spot where we got several big smallies. We tried to search where big ones staying at so we can come there again when tourney week is starting.

Before to begin the story, it was proven big mistake for us. It was 25 mph winds with blazing hot sunny day! Also, it was white caps waves. I mean laterally, if we put canoe at side of waves, waves will get into canoe. That's how bad it was.

Anyway, we fished from 11 to 5pm. I was only able to get 5 fish meanwhile Bassturds got one. But I got bassturds' tourney winner bass! because it was ringed at 2.8. haha. we thought it was pretty funny if it was actually same bass! Then we decided to go scuba dive to explore what this lake has offer. It was crystal clear water with badly drop off. I mean, it didn't go like 45 degree angle downward. It definitely go 80-85 degree angle down! We saw the huge snapping turtle! It was unbelievable! Then we saw huge school of smallmouth babies! I quickly took underwater shot of them! But that is not all. We still swim another 20 feet away, we are still swimming through the school of smally babies! It was shocking to see that amount of babies without seen any predator or birds that dive bombs at it. Anyway, after that, I was quickly connected to my last smallmouth of the day. I decided to have fool around with my cell-phone. putting more underwater shot for that smallmouth. Proven more awesome shots and impressive how they looks in the water instead out of water. No words can explain this. Picture said it all. The result is bad for us and we got wicked sunburned however, we cannot be more pleased to have this underwater smallmouth pictures. It was very worth our time.

We anchored up on the point. Wind was at our backs.
We were in 4 feet of water. Casting to 30feet.

Deadfishhermen jumped in and fished a tube on the drop off!
I stayed in the canoe tossing a drop shot.

First couple of cast nothing. I figured I was fishing it to fast !

So I took another cast. Let it hit bottom.
Slowly twitched the 4" worm.
Moved the weight a little

I thought I was stuck on bottom.
I realized bottom doesn't peel drag and head shake.
I hollered to mark. He grabbed net.

Snap. Fish Is gone. No other hits for the rest of the day
