  • badlarry - I am planning on heading there Saturday early morning(weather depending) canoe access rte 85 end. let me know if interested.

Tunameltdown - I used to feel the same way, but within the last year or so, hitting it up for bass has been productive with everyone focused on trout. There are a few spots there where the lunkers are hanging out.

However good for Bass, the trout activity is always a little better. Have another trip from yesterday to same spot and pulled in 4lb trout.

  • I'm kind of new to this area myself but while fishing for trout oddly enough I am discovering this place is not so bad for bass.Fishing parts of this lake I've never fished before and having some good days some bad

  • I might head there sat after noon towards dusk or early morn let me know if interested maybe meet at car top access let me know and I will keep you posted

  • Tuna melt the bass pictured on my profile was caught earlier this year at Hop res didn't have scale but others who were there said she was at least 6n1/2 pounder but I agree as far as bass goes White hall more consistent large ones more cover Maspenock(north pond haven't fished in a while but is also known to produce some nice bass I used to sneak a small boat in across from the church off 135 and fish the stumps at back end killed em with 5in twist tail grubs but that was long time ago.

  • I grew up in Hopkinton and always hated fishing Hopkinton Res. for bass. For trout and salmon it's a great place but if I wanted bass I would hit either Whitehall or Maspenock. I find it it hard to believe that the Res has been giving up bass over 8 pounds without me ever hearing about it. Hell a 10 pound bass is gold pin worthy. I have have heard of a 9.4 that was caught through the ice at Whitehall a few years ago and I've caught plenty of 6-8 pounders out of both Whitehall and Maspenock but not Hopkinton Res.

  • I'd be interested in joining you guys too. I've always said MAFF should do some non-tournament get togethers

  • Absolutely! I am always looking for some company to fish with.

Grafton, I grew up there. There are some decent spots in that area that are not on this website. I am heading out to Hopkinton later this afternoon(after work), but will post the next time I am going out there as well.

  • Glad to see you guys are doing well there. I'm about 15 min myself over in Grafton.

I'd def be interested in meeting up sometime.

  • I was killing bass with a large gold fox vibrax spinner lost one nice one but a lot of small ones amazing the size of lure the real small bass will take lol

  • Are you talkin more towards end near 85 where canoe access is or other way towards dike.I keep getting told over by the pump house there is a sweet spot where the trout go when water gets warm but I haven't had much luck other than some ok bass saw some fat ones jump just out of my casting reach maybe I will where shorts and wade out and launch cast Im on vacation so maybe let you know I live in Southboro right down the street
