Comment: I grew up in malden and spent a lot of time fishing the malden river. Its been a long time but people still catch some monster carp there. If you want stripers go near the locks at the beginning of the mystic / malden river. There is a bouy to the left as you pass through the locks. Deep spot and it usually holds a few stripers.

Comment: Dr, you are right on with the carp fishing in the malden river.... some huge carp in that river!! Believe it or not stripers run up there too!

Comment: I live next to fellsmere (Malden Res to the locals) and there are some bass in there but you are better off going to the malden river for carp and Spot pond for bass.

By mid summer this placed is choked so rubber worms, etc hooked weedless and topwaters are basically your only options

Comment: I've been fishing there my whole life and have caught some of my biggest bass in this pond. Black power worms with no weight are money here. Fish slow the fish are lazy but there are some lunkers in there.

Comment: I don't even know if there is anything in the fellsmere besides Common Carp. I've never seen anyone pull a bass out of there.
