Winona Lake 6/4

Wrapping up week vacation Bro Joe and I pounded the shores of Winona in meredith / ctr harbor N.H. Beautiful day to be out fishing as it was 70 degrees and with no wind and bright sun I got toasted to a crisp despite my 50 block lotion. 40- 45 bass were caught of both species with most being smallies in the 1 1/2 -2 lb range. 7 largies caught 1 -2 lbers the norm with biggest smallie going 3 1/4 and a vicious Lgm going 3 1/2lbs. Fishing was tough for bro Joe as he was a little reluctant to change over from his beloved wacky 5 in. Senko, wich the bass of Winona were not too crazy about. Joe saw that I was catching 5 for his 1 on a texas rigged 4 inch version of senko and soon came over to the texas side.High point of outing was getting up to 40 ft away from a Blk bear cub as ravage a lakefront bird feeder. He was really quite cool to see and was not bothered by our presence as he went about his feeding business for about 10 min. before he departed for another bird feeding station. We made a complete tour around this 150 acre lake using just the trolling motor and wrapped up a week away in fine bass fishing style. Now to return home, mow the lawn and return to work, so as to be able to replenish the deminished stock of senkos ect.
