Winnicunnet Pond, Norton, MA

Winnicunnet Pond is the headwater for the Snake River running from Norton down into Lake Sabbatia in Taunton. It is heavily weeded on all sides where the depth is approximately 5', that edge area extends 50 to 75 feet out from the shoreline, then there is this clear area in the middle northern end that ranges from 5' down to 11' and provides some pretty good fun fishing for mid sized crappie and small bass. My wife and I spent the day catching crappie, practicing rowing in sync together, learning more about anchoring the right way to use the wind to your advantage, and of course laughing....23 Crappie later, we were done..........LOL
