Whitins Pond

New area to fish here. Went with my brother, kinda overwhelming for canoe and kayak, big lake. Caught a few bass, nothing big, all out in the middle, nothing biting on the edges. Water looks great, nice and clean. The excitement of the day, my brother caught a bass and somehow hook came out the basses gill and ended up in my brothers thumb! It was much nastier than it looks. We had to push the hooks through the other side of his thumb, crimp the end of the hook and pull it back though! ouch! If anyone has fished this area and has any tips much appreciated. Hit Linwood a couple days later.

  • Thanks man if you ever in the northbridge area Ive been fishing it since I was a boy I have a lot of good spots I can help you out with like I said I'm not around any more and I'd be more then happy to help out linwood pond is part of the mumford river and one of my fav spots but it gets tuff in the summer with the grass stick to.frogs or top water at sunset you should do pretty good I love finesse worms in the early spring over there or jump down a bridge in uxbridge.with some senkos I've got.some pigs out of there as well or the below the Damn on lacky Damn road near the old mill is deadly you can never go worng with the mumford river above the Damn on lacky has some big guys but its almost imposible to fish when. It starts warming up in the spring s***s so thick with grass and weeds goodluck.man don't hessitate to hit me up

  • Thx for the tip bshirley, it just so happens that I have some yammamoto crawfish so I will give it a try! Good luck in AZ!

  • Crawfish this is my home pond the rocks by the causeway are packed with crawfish I use yammamoto crawfish and destroy em all year a lot of my pictures are out of this pond the culverts are always productive and there are shallow spots in the middle wich is probably why you were getting em out there a few good structures more like weeds and bars in the middle but crawfish work best for me when. I was younger I would spend all morning rolling rocks on the causeway get a big collection and sit out there all day its a great pond also the mumford river on the other aide extreemly productive hope this helps I just moved to Az so you can have my spots haha

  • we put in right off the causeway, I believe its main street. fished both sides
