Comment: This was the last one for 2015, Chris. Though if anyone wants to put something together, I'm down.

There is, however, a Boston Bass Stranglers tournament at Farm Pond in Framingham on October 27.

Same rules as the MAFF tournaments, but the entry fee is $50 and there's a 3-fish limit, not 5.

Comment: First kayak tourney for me, and this res, good group of guys, and I enjoyed the outing. Fishing was slow, ended up with a couple small bass, and a couple small picks. Biggest was 1.01,barely legal! Maybe have another before December?

Comment: Tom, thanks again for hosting this event.
I enjoyed the day out on the water even though I had nothing to weigh in at the end of the day.
Nothing but small little ones were caught.
Congrats to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
Weather was great too.
The duck hunters weren't to happy with us out in water, they didn't have a good day but, the guy that ripped the entire front end of his Jeep off had a even worse day.

Enjoyed the time, looking forward to being out there next year.

Comment: Tom, thanks for another great year. Always a pleasure. Can't wait for next year! =)

Today I caught everything on a spinnerbait. (I swear, I do catch fish on other lures/baits.) I got my first, which turned out to be lunker (see uploaded photo), at 7:03 AM. I caught a few more in that same area, then the rest in the northeastern corner of the lake.

I caught six total, all but the one under two pounds (three weighed the same: 1lb 4oz). I got my last fish at 9:13 AM, and nothing after. Not sure if I just moved away from a productive area or if the wind played a role in that.

Everything was caught around lily pads. I tried a bunch of big baits out over all the weeds, trying to entice a big girl, but came up empty. Oh well.

Had a great time as always. See you fellas next year (or this year if anyone wants to get out before it gets too cold).
