Comment: I know they are there from all the reports. I have just never seen one in person with my own eyes and I've been fishing there since I was maybe 10, so that's for about 35 years. Just one of those things.

Comment: I saw a dead striper in the River near Lower Mystic Lake two years ago, probably about 15 pounds. I believe I've seen stripers feeding early in the morning in Lower Mystic before tearing up the surface with Alewife flying but I've never caught one.

Comment: People swear there are stripers (not strippers, although there may be some of those too) in there, but I have never seen one caught in 45 years and counting on this planet!
