Comment: I agree that the pond is only 4 feet deep, I have first hand knowledge. I do recall an 8 pound bass that was caught behind the island in the spring of 1981, the picture of the fish hung prominentely on the wall of Charlie's Bait shop on rte. 123. Also, in 1988 a 7.5 pound bass was caught behind the island, unlike the 8 pounder- this one was caught by boat.

Comment: There is no deeper! It's only 4 ft deep at most. I would call that an evening trip!

Comment: Yea the fish in Jacob's are sometimes picky about location and temperature. The pond virtually shuts off (other than sunfish) from like 1130am-5pm. All the bigger fish move deeper, then come shallow again when it nears dusk.

Comment: haven't fished here much..last time i went here didn't catch any thing but it was hot out.... and pond was weeded up pretty good
