Comment: Thanks again, man. I will definitely pick up some P line Floro, and downsize my RT. It's nice to be able to pull up quickly on any bank on the Charles river and swing some out! All the best--as Fall is around the corner, and I can wait for thesefish to start cruising the shallows again on their fall freezing frenzy (no boat for me-maybe one day...).

Comment: I think the 1/4oz is too big for there, I even tried a 1/6oz and that was too big too. If you line is mono, get rid of it. P-Line "Fluoroclear" is good line, Ive been using it for 2 years, less stretch, and better strength than mono. Mostly 8lb, with a little 6lb on my spinning gear. Mostly 12lb, with some 10lb on my baitcasters. I do use a little braid, Crystal Fineline for topwater, and flipping.

Comment: Nice bro! Thanks for the tips. I wonder if its my line--10lb suffix siege? They say Floro can up your strike ratio. Or, could be my RT color, using a bumblebee pattern (yellw/blk) with a goldblade--1/40z. Are you shooting from the docks or right of the boat ramp?

Comment: Straight Cast and Retieve. 1/8oz Rooster Tail in Brown Trout Color, I think, with gold blade. The rod is a 6'6" with a moderate tip, the soft tip help me feeling the blade spinning right. The line is 6lb P-Line "Fluoroclear". Dont set the hook, just pull your rod to the side and reel faster when you feel the fish. This rod set-up is one Ive had forever, I just keep it in my trunk(its a two piece, but it gets the job done in a pinch). Im gonna bring my good gear and see if I can do any better.

Comment: Nice! How are you working and presenting the rooster tail? I have fished that spot with an RT and they only chase it! I can never seem to stick one?
