Had the day off so rolled up to Wrights around noon after scouting Horn earlier in the day and determining it wasn't safe enough yet. Setup 4 tipups off the first point after the first cove and wandered around jigging my tip up holes and some holes i had opened up the day before. Started off hitting a 17" pickerel right off the bat on one of the tipups. About an hour later a 3lb larry on another tipup. Reel was screaming! Was jigging up lots of sunfish until I fiinally hit a 13" pickerel that had a jig in its mouth. My jig from the previous day!! Was glad to get my jig back and I'm sure the pickerel was happy I got it back too. After I had packed up everything to leave at almost 4pm I decided to jig for another 5 minutes. Lucky for me I hit a beauuutiful fat perch. A great way to end the day. I also had the luxury of meeting a fellow MAFishFinder member - Volume4130. He came out in the afternoon to check out the scene and I gave him an overview as I fish there quite a bit. Great meeting you Volume. Hope to see you on the ice again soon. Fish caught: 2 Pickerel - 17", 13" 5 sunfish - small to medium 2 Bass - 3lb,1lb 1 Yellow Perch - big? got excited and forgot to measure
