UK citizen, lived in Maine since 2001. Got hooked on Bass Fishing after catching fish between 2 and 4 pounds from Graham Lake in Maine. Wow pound for pound on of the best fighters i have caught comparable to Barble or Greyling.

Fishing Techniques
I like to fish with a float, with as little of the tip showing. perfectly weighted so it does not sink from the weight. With the heaviest weight sitting on the lake/river bed. 6" of line from that weight to hook. this allows two indications of a bite. Either it quickly disappears, or with carp they will pick the Bait up and the float will lift quickly out the water. Have rod close and ready at all times because strikes need to be quick due to carp having very sensitive mouths.
