Country boy from Sunflower Plantation 7 miles west of Drew, MS. Presently living in Horn Lake, MS and recently purchased a boat for me and my son to go fishing. It has been awhile so have some catching up to do. Hopefully I can teach my son a little about fishing, although I am a little rusty myself. I have never fished in the bay or near the ocean, but interested in that as well.

Crappie, catfish, bass, bream
Favorite Type of Fishing
Pole and trotlines
Water Type
Freshwater
Favorite Lures
Minnows, worms, crickets, liver, pink, blue and orange Bandit 300 lures.
Fishing Rods
Cane poles, rod and reels and fly rod poles. I do like the porcupine quill bobber while fishing for crappie or bream.
Fishing Reels
Need more info to evaluate the difference. I did purchase the B and M quick change reel and not too happy with it as it came apart.
Fishing Techniques
It depends on the lake and the fish I am trying to catch. I do like to get in close to logs or trees in water and fish beside them for crappie or bream. Trotlining I bait with chicken livers and seems to work well.
Favorite Fishing Spot
Since the water turned at Linsinger Lake, still looking for one. Open for suggestions for my son and me to try.
