This weekend I got to go up to my buddies house on Newfound lake. I didn't get up there until about 6 on Friday.i thought id go out out my kayak for a little during dusk. I fished to the left of the boat ramp and stayed close by. I didn't get a bite that night but I scouted my places for Saturday. woke up early Saturday morning and went over to the two islands in the south of the lake. fished there for a couple hours. caught two smallies. first one weighing about 2.5lbs and the second weighing in at 3.1. both were caught on lipless crankbaitin15ft of water. since there wasn't to much action over there I ended up moving over the the two islands right of of wellington beach. caught another 2.5 smallie on a suspending jerkbait. I had pictures of all 3 on my phone with the fish scaled and everything. only problem was when I got back to the boat ramp and was getting out of the kayak my phone fell out of my pocket and into about 5 ft of water. ooops. well after a good day it kindve ended on a bad note. earlier today I went over to lees mill on lake winnipesaukee. supposively this is one of the best places for largemouth on the whole lake. got to fish for about two hours before I was heading back to MA. in that time I caught a small 1.5 lb largemouth and a very small pick both on a kvd shallow crankbait. obviously being phoneless I have no pictures of them either. overall not a bad weekend besides losing a $400 iphone.

headed out to my local honey hole today which is the Braintree golf course. started by a green spro frog. on maybe my 5th cast caught a 2.5 lber. stayed in that spot for another half hour before I moved. then I started looking to see if any bass were spawning nearby and saw a bass that was about 1.5lbs. threw a rapala floating minnow right past it and caught it on the 3rd cast. after that I went across the pond and started fishing a pumpkinseed senko. caught another 1.5lb bass shortly after. ended up fishing for about 2 hours. there are some big boys in there as well just didn't get any of them today. also saw the biggest snapping turtle of my life. didn't take any pictures but I did weigh all 3 fish. overall not a bad day

since I live nearby I thought id visit pond meadow park in Braintree today. caught 2 bass and 1 pick all 3 around a pound each. my phone died before I even got to the pond so I didnt get any pictures but they were all pretty small anyways. however I was only there for about an hour and a half so it wasn't bad. it was pretty windy and cold. 1st bass came on a black jitterbug, second one came on a green craw I was pitching into the brush and the pick came on a 5 inch senko. the fish were all bedding along the shore. definitely gonna head out there again this week
