Eric Woods's Latest Reports

Went down to mystic again got there about 8:00 and threw some top water till about 9:30 then I switched to a purple power worm with no weight and dragged and danced it across the bottom near some lillys, I got a baby largemouth on the 3rd cast. After that got another decent sized largemouth and I hooked him pretty good and he was a little banged up so I.didnt take a picture I just wanted to get him back in the water before he stepped into.the white light, but he took off like a rocket and he'll heal up alright. After that I got nothing else and left around 12:00.

So the spot I found earlier was so nice I couldnt wait till tomorrow morning I had to sneek back down for a few hours before the.sun went down. So I went down about 6 and fished a pink rubber worm for a little bit and caught a tiny largemouth nothing worth taking a picture of. Then a switched.to.the.green.lizard and draged it across the.bottom, I.kept hettin bites but he wouldnt keep it in his mouth long.enough for me to set the hook so I kept throwin it in the.same spot just waiting for him to give me that chance and sure enough I finally hooked that sucker and he was a nice size put up a decent fight. After that I walked along the edge again to that spot where I caught that big boy earlier today and a threw a jitterbug fot about a half hour. Right around 7:45 wham this largemouth exploded on on it! It was.well worth fighting off the skeeters fot the last half hour I was there. By 8:00 I couldnt bare thr bugs anymore and got outta there bfore I went insane. Glad I went back down was well worth it cant wait to go back tomorrow morning...

Went to a different spot on mystic today not too far from my rt. 16 overpass spot just across the street in McDonald park I found myself a nice little hang out. I threw top water all morning and got nothing then I switched to a perch colord crank bait and caught a small largemouth after that tried a green lizard and caught another little largemouth bass this one smaler than before so I walked along the rivers edge.and found a nice calm little cove with tons of lilly pads and cover to the right side so I threw a green rubber worm with red fleck to the lft of all that cover and caught a nice fat larry I would say maybe 3 1/2 4 pound. After that had one bite that got off with the same worm and that.was it left by 2:30.
