This was an early spring trip where we started the day using suspended nymphs to mimic insects rising from the bottom, then moved on to crawfish colored tube jigs

I went into the BWCA out of Ely, MN with a few friends from school and pulled out plenty of small to mid-sized smallmouth, with a few walleyes mixed in for lunch. Started off in Fall Lake and stayed 3 nights in Pipestone Bay. The rapids were the hot spot for the bass, with size 6 Persh Shad Raps being the best bait of the week
