bagdafish Was it the hour of the day (5:30am - Saturday, July 19) or was it just a fluke...5.1 pound large mouth on a surface popper near the lily pads on Massasecum. This will get your heart racing - enough to wake me up! A few bluegills and a few smaller bass to follow - nothing like last weekend. I am beginning to think that a fish like this is definitely going to happen before it even begins to get light out. Perhaps, this will never, ever get duplicated again -- my biggest bass to date.

wireit Wow! Nice catch! These are the kind of fish that keep us going through the slow days. That's the beauty of angling , you never know what lurks behind the next downed tree or lily pad. That is what keeps us coming back time and time again. Congrats!
