lilpixiblue For where I was fishing, considering I've only seen people pulling up Sunfish there and caught this guy on a Pheasant Tail Nymph. I've been rained out of both Wenham & the Merrimack due to the rain the past few days, but that was pretty cool.

tacklesmith Yep, shiner. But a nice one. Where they are, the bass and pickerel are typically not far behind.

Well, now I gotta take my new carp flies down to the Merrimack in Lowell and pull up some monster Carp!

lilpixiblue I'm admittedly pretty new at this freshwater game. Caught my first bluegill today too (Huge one, for a bluegill).

I guess the shape is just a little off and it doesn't have those carp "whiskers & sucker mouth", but between the color and the scales I was easily mistaken.
