Seabord Marina

John, Mike, and I went out to Job's pond to do a little ice fishing. The morning did not look promising after one hour without a single flag. Later that morning, mike received a missed bite on a free hooked minnow on his jig rod. Obviously, he missed it. We assumed it was either a trout or a bass. Around noon, we left job's and went to my promising spot, seaboard marina. We set up tip-ups and jig rods. We caught over 100 fish. All perch, sunfish, and pumpkinseed.

Seabord Marina

Went icefishing in Glastonbury for Pike, Pickeral, Perch, Pumpkinseed, and Golden Pond Shiners. We went out at six A.M. with a bucket full of fresh bait (including a dozen golden pond shiners, a half dozen small arkansaws shiners, a dozen nightcrawlers, and 100 spikes), some tip ups, four jig rods, some tackle, and our auger. Suprisingly when we got to the marina there was already a lot of open holes so we set some tip ups and jig rods and waited for the bite to start. The skunk was pulled out of the bag when our first flag shot up. I quickly set the hook and brought up a decent sixed yellow perch. I reset the tip up and waited some more. Throughout the rest of the trip we caught more perch, sunfish, pumpkinseed, and johnny roaches. They were hitting on small minnows and jigs tipped with either a minnow or nightcrawlers.
