Hit two spots on Dudley this evening, and they couldnt have been more different. First was the area on Dudley Rd for about an hour. Wind in the face, tons off crap in the water. Managed one foot long bass on a senko. Then moved to Mansion Beach for the last hour. Very calm, with occasional swirling winds. Finished there with a 13in Bass and a Bluegill that crushed a dropshotted sluggo. My biggest Bluegill yet.

Nothing special today kids. Seems pretty slow here at the moment, but better than a few weeks ago. Pretty windy today. Got a few nibbles on a senko, and a drop shot, but the only taker was a shorty Larry on a Rapala.

The popular "Forest Grove/Purgatory Cove/The Pipe" had a bunch of peeps fishing so I didnt stop. Instead went to the Launch Ramp up the road in which Ive had varying luck with the fish and the local yocals.Tonight was better on both aspects. Definately some current with being part of the main channel, and lots a muck/vegatation floating by. Water is brown like usual. Ended the evening with a pickerel and a 1 1/4 Larry.

Had a club Tourney today, and weather was stange to say the least. Probably close to 60 degrees most of the day. Launched at 7am starting with rain and winds 10-15mph for about 3 hours, and off and on the rest of the tourney, with the sun peaking out about 2pm. Decent amount of beds as the spawn is getting going. First cast my partner lands a 2lb Smallie, then nothing for 5 hours...I worked my ass off and through everything, dropshots, senkos, spinnerbait, jigs, shakeyhead, multiple crankbaits, tubes, wacky rig worm, yum craw...and nothing. After 5 Hours of no bites at all, I tried my panic lure...a rooster tail...My partner ended the day with 3 smallies all on tubes, totaling over 6lbs with his lunker being 2 1/2lbs...I ended the day with 4 smallies all on the f-ing rooster tail, 12in, 12.25in, 12.5in, and my lunker being 15in 1-3/4lbs, and total weight being 4.76lbs. I finished 11th Place out of 22. I left feeling happy too catch 4 fish, but dumbfounded I couldnt get a bite on everything Ive been practicing. ***For the privacy of the other anglers spots, Im only going to post my catches at the launch ramp.***

Well back to the usual spot on this scorcher of a day. Near 90 degree, but pretty windy, gusty around 25-30 at times. Water was choppy, but pretty clear. Better day than Ive had lately at the ole' finshin' hole. Grabbed my first Bass on a spinnerbait weighing 1lb 3oz, had a pickerel slam a crankbait, and picked up another bass, a little under a pound, dropshotting. Feelin' a bit better each time Im out.

Blasted over to Dudley afterwork. Nice, about 70 degrees. Very calm water. There was a bunch of turtles swimming around. Couple guys in a canoe said they got a few dink bass, pickerel, and perch. Couple other guys in kayaks, one said he landed into a 23lb Mirror Carp on a 2in curly tail grub. I finished the evening with an angry pickerel, and my first calico of 2009 and out of Dudley. Till tommorow...

Headed to the usual spot after work. A little windy, blue bird skies, I knew I had some work ahead of me. Alot crap in the water. I threw alot of stuff with little success. Got a bunch of soft bites on the drop shot, but finally landed a 17in Pickerel on a texas rigged Tru-Tungsten Dart worm.

Well 2009 is offically underway for me. Nice day, about 55 degrees after work. Headed to one of my favorite spots with Chris. Town has the lake drained down atleast 2 feet, But that didnt stop us or the fish. Chris had his first 2 bass of the year(14 1/2in, 12in) fishing a dropshot set-up. I got my first of the year(12 1/4in) fishing a shakey head set-up and lost another because of a bad knot. Also missed several other bites. Active bass in March, Gotta Love it!

Windy and cold = slow bite. I throw alot of different lures trying to get a bite tonight. Senko, Slug-go, Slashbait, Shallow Crankbait, Inline Spinner, Swimbait, And a Spinnerbait which finally produced one small bass. Thank god I was using a trailer hook or I would have been shutout. Lesson learned today for sure.

Got out for a little more than an hour to fish my old stomping grounds at the Forest Grove culvrit. Tough throwing anything with an exposed hook, Surface was pretty messy with decaying vegatation. Fished mostly with a Senko and got a few nibbles here and there, but no good bite. Moved down road about 100ft to a small shore clearing only about 6ft wide. Throw the senko at a small lay down off to the left and got hammered, but my hookset landed my rod tip in the bush right next to me. By the time I untangled, the fish was off. Disappointed for sure, I really need to get a boat next year. I did end up with one 7" dink bass.

Fished by the boat ramp tonight for about an hour. Good structure, look look there used to be a big dock there, but know its just about 20 rotting posts sticking out of the water. Slow overall, but did get one 3/4lb Bass.

Afterwork I think I barely got in a hour before dark. And boy was it slow going. Water levels are dropping slowly, vegatation is dying off with the colder weather. Very calm water at dudley tonight. Finally got one 3/4lb Bass at the end of the night.

Went back to Ashland Res. tonight , But the northern end this time. Parked on Chestnut St. which run along the western side, then made about a 5 minute walk though the woods. Little damn runoff in the northeastern corner. Good drop off, but not much structure. Caught a handful of fish tonight on a rooster tail. Still wanna explore somemore of the north and western shore.

My first time trying here. I fished the south end on Spring St. Parking for about fifteen cars, small dirt boat ramp. I heard its great for Trout especially when it stocked in the spring and fall. I fished about six different shoreline spots till dark. Sparce vegatation, sandy, rockt bottom, and kinda shallow. Definately wanna do some more exploring towards the north end Damn area. Very slow night otherall. Got one dink pickerel and one dink bass.

Slow like everywhere else lately. Chris got one Pickerel, my girl had a bass come off at shoreline. I had a nice 1lb plus Bass jump about a foot out of the water and spit my spinnerbait out, and Finally got a 1/2lb Bass to take a crankbait.

Fished two spot in watertown after work. First place was in Watertown Square about 100ft down from the huge public dock that some people were already fishing. Bit of a current, Stained brown water, with alot of floating grass/milfoil. Only two sunfish from this spot. Second spot was the Boat Ramp. With the cold front moving in I couldnt get much going. I threw a senko, slug-go, spinnerbait, topwater with no luck. Only thing getting bites was the rooster tail. Finished was here with one goodsize Bluegill, one sunfish, two peanut bass, and one 1/2lb bass.
