Went to Houghton's Pond early Sat morning to my usual spot and it was clean. Returned yesterday afternoon and it was littered with beer cans, trash and a bunch of fishing string. There are trash containers everywhere or do as I do take your $hit back with you. Stuff like this is what gives us fishermen a bad rap at local ponds, etc. |

Took a long weekend, hit Long Pond in Plymouth this morning and got 2 nice Rainbows using powerbait. Both bows are very good size. Wind wasn't to bad but an issue at times. |

Went to my favorite pond for trout fishing yesterday and today. Caught five brown trout and six rainbow trout. I caught all of them by floating a nightcrawler off the bottom. I seem to catch bigger trout this way verses using powerbait. I caught my limit two days in a row at Houghtons. |

Had a few hours to kill before work this morning so I went to Houghtons Pond to see if the trout would still be biting and I was not disappointed. I used nightcrawlers floating them off the bottom, powerbait did nothing for me today. I fished for an hour and caught four trout, 3 rainbows and one small brownie. I kept the two big rainbows and already ate one, very tasty. From the size of these two bows and the color of the meat they seem to be holdovers. |

Went to Houghton's Pond for trout after the Celtics game yesterday and ended up catching a catfish. I was floating a nightcrawler off the bottom. I never expected to catch a catfish in there. Also, I saw some good sized large mouth bass in the shallows. |

Went to old faithful (Houghton's Pond) last night to kill sometime before the Celtics game. Fished using powerbait for about an hour and didn't get a bite. I saw a guy leaving with a Rainbow and he told me the stocking truck was there earlier in the day and put in about 1,000 trout. I starting floating a nightcrawler off the bottom and within 20 minutes I landed two Brown Trout and a Yellow Perch. The trout action at Houghton's this season has been great.... |

In honor of my mother who taught me how to fish I decided to hit on of my favorite spots. Arrived at Houghton's Pond at 5pm, there were plenty of people swimming in the water so I figured the bites would be slow and I was right. I was fishing for trout using powerbait but not much action. I decided to float a nightcrawler off the bottom and within 10 minutes I landed the biggest Yellow Perch I ever caught. Shortly after that I caught a Rainbow Trout and called it a night. |

Headed over to Houghton's Pond after work to do some more trout fishing. I arrived around 5:30pm and fished for a hour and a half. I was using powerbait and started getting hits right away. Before sunset I had my limit and was heading home. |

Was bored on Friday night, went to Hougton's Pond around 9:30 p.m. armed with a flashlight, powerbait and my rod. Cast out my line and within 10 minutes my rod is jumping, hooked a nice 14.5 inch rainbow, did not have a scale but I am thinking it was close to 2lbs if not over. |

Arrived around 7:45pm or so after spending 2 hours at Houghton's Pond without a decent bite. The water was calm. I fished one rod with yellow powerbait eggs and the other rod, I floated a nightcrawler off the bottom. The first cast with the nightcrawler, immediatley fish on. Not even 15 minutes later the powerbait rod starts jumping, I pull in a 14 inch well over a 1.5lbs Rainbow.... |

Two Rainbow's I caught on Chartreuse colored power eggs. I also had luck last Sunday floating a nightcrawler off the bottom. Warning the "fish police" have been hanging around so have your license if you go to Jamaica Pond.. |
