Fished with Clay on a Sunday afternoon. The bite was slow until after 5:30. Clay also caught a few on a fly rod including one bass (1 pound) and several gills. And one nice crappie on a spinner bait.

Once again i trolled for shad. Only a couple were caught casting. All the shad today were hickories with one herring. No Americans.

trolling is the hot ticket. While I listed American Shad (because of the limited choices) I had only one American in three days of fishing. Almost all were Hickories with two herring in the mix.

Bass fishing for the first time. Trolled in the a.m. By noon the temp was in the mid 90's and I called it quit. Caught 2 nice largemouth. Lost one largemouth when it jumped. I given the slime on a hook I lost a catfish as well.
