Details:Hit the water this morning with Will, again. Caught 4 bass in the first 15 minutes, good omen. After that things petered out for a few hours, but then it picked up again. Our final tally was 21 LMB. Funny thing, this was our first outing at Spy Pond where we only caught one species. It seemed the fish were still slow on the strikes. They were hitting rubber worms on the fall or once settled, not on the retrieve. Hard fighting fish, definitely looking leaner - post spawn. Saw tons of small fry in the weeds, bodes well for the future of the fishery.
