Silver Lake Madison N.H.

Week long trip to silver lake w/ Bro Joe. Weather was mostly overcast w/ 2 bright sunny days. The lake has many 2-3 lb smallies and we made sure to get out share, though it was sometimes slower fishin then we would have liked. I caught 34 smallies and 2 Lms, my big fish ended up being a 3 3/4 lb pic! Bro Joe caught 44 smallies and 3 Lms. The bite was very strange at times. I had 3 lbers on that felt like I was dragging in a beach towel off the bottom (Just weight), and some of the 2lbers would hit like a runaway freight train. Lots of these fish were into acrobatics, some leaping out of the water 3ft! Great place to fish.
Baits that worked best were wacky senkos, shaky head finesse worms and carolina rigging lizards out to 17 ft on the tougher days. Most fish came off the 5 ft drop around the lake.
