Several Hundred Pounds Of Bass

I hit up our little fort knox lake with Ted/Volume. We were on the lake by 5:30 AM. Slight mist all day and overcast. The action was a bit slow for the first 20 minutes, but when it picked up it never stopped. I used a Zoom Horney Toad and started crushing the bass, until I ran out of them. I used senkos and crushed them. I used a buzzbait and they were smashing it. I lost about $20 in senkos alone. Later in the day I was throwing a rapala type floater and they were smashing that too. Every time I said one more bass and then we're out of here, led to 15 more. We caught enough Pickerel as well to feed a family of 4 for a week.

Absolutely insane day on the water. At LEAST 95 bass were caught, and 50 or more were over 2 pounds. A few 3's thrown in the mix and last but not least, Ted caught a 4.11 capping of a great day. Over 200 lbs of bass for 2 guys =FUN. 5:30 to 1:30 of pure joy!!

The pics are just randomly taken, most are the smaller ones with a 3 pounder thrown in and Teds 4.11

Volume Edit: This is not an exaggeration! This was far and away the best day of fishing I have ever had. Couldn't believe it...at the end of the day we were trying to leave, but every cast led to another fish and we just laughed at how hot the action was. So after we called last fish, it was another hour and a half until we actually called it quits and gave the fish a break. The 4.11 monster at the end of the day was just a bonus...hit a dark green/light green 5" Senko knock off in some pads. I thought I was just hung up in the stalks, but then it started tugging a little and eventually broke through so we could get a good look at her. Thought it might have gone 5 lbs, but I'm not one to argue with an accurate scale. An awesome day on the water!

  • Guys, It's not like we are trying to keep a secret and are not willing to share. we have shared some killer spots. Its not a res either. Its just a private pond that is off limits. we have permission from a home owner to say we can use the lake and say we launched from there property. We cant just send the masses down to the lake.

  • I would do bad things to put my boat in one of those ponds, even if it was just for an hour.

It is unlikely that the location of this spot will be told in the public arena, all I can say that it was unreal and it was in Massachusetts.

  • I agree with the aforementioned
where is this spot, and how much will my fine be?ha ha . . .seriously, where is it !

  • Those are some great lakes Doug and I do fish there. There are signs and you can get busted. I am not crazy enough to take my boat in there. Volume might be but not me. lol

  • bcodkind: I am really just guessing, (have absolutely no idea !!)but if you go over to the east side of Winchester (Fells) and check out a couple beautfil lakes there (the ones with signs posted) you might find your own honey hole!

  • Yeah, not gonna happen!

  • lol

  • Alright, spill the beans. A honeypot this good, you have to share the location!!
