Sampsons Pond

BVBA 2nd tourny held on a beautiful May day with Bluebird skies and light wind. There were 3 Five fish limits weighed in, with bags of 15lbs, 13.25, and 10. After a slow start, my partner Jared found some bass in tight to grass along a shady shore, and we scored 4 bass there. late morning we found bass (and alot of toothys) out on a massive flat. we took on a few more Lms with quite a few shorts. From noon on we concentrated on the rock piles and adjacent flats where we proceeded to pick up a few more that I was able to cull for a few ounces, and Jared continued to soremouth more of the pickeral population. At 2;30 Jared picked up a 3lber on rock at the shoreline near the ramp, which was big bass onboard the Kahuna. Jareds fish mostly came on the wacky senko, and all of my fish were on a scaled down c-rig with a 1/4 oz mojo sinker and a brush hog and gr pumpkin zoom lizard combo. Green snot slime came in covering baits almost every cast that touch bottom. Lunker was a 4.36 That John K brought to the scale, and Bob and Eddie weighed in 2 nice bags of 3lbers. My 10lb bag got me a 3rd place finish.

  • Thanks!

Better said for me is that any bass over 11 15/16 is a plus

  • Congrats on 3rd. Anytime you can get double digit weight in a tourney you did well
