My daughter wanted to go kayak fishing with me so I took her to Ponki. The morning was nice and overcast but soon the wind picked up and whipped the water into white caps. I had to deploy the anchor and lash the boats together to keep from being swept across the pond. Still, she managed to boat a couple of mid-sized picks. I managed a couple of bass and a few picks. Not an ideal day for paddling but certainly a nice day on the water with my kid.
