I haven't posted many trips this year but I've been out almost every weekend. I've caught a good number of 4s and other big fish. This isn't the biggest of the year but it tops them all since it was on the drop shot.
At the very end of the day, last cast, hump off of a small weedbed in about 15', I pitch the wacky rigged stickbait (drop shot). After about 5 seconds my rod loads up and the tip goes down to the water. I knew it was big but didn't know how big until it jumped. It took a good 5 minutes to get it in as it kept peeling drag...5.84 lbs.
