Pickerel Again!!
Got out early this AM and went to OAK POND.... one small bass and nothing else.....hit the bass in about ten foot of water on a jig with a twister grub tale... fished another hour with no one single hit so took the boat out and hit another lake nearby.... PICKEREL - PICKEREL - PICKEREL.... I have to admit.... as much as I love catching pickerel, Im getting a bit pisses that I'm not catching many bass so far this year..... I know this lake has a good population of bass -and some nice size ones as well - but so far, three trips to this lake and all I have caught is a very few bass and tons, and I mean tons of pickerel.....things better change soon.... I may go carp fishing on my next trip... love catching these amazing fighting fish and havent gone yet.....
