Lake Trout

I'm fishing for Lake Trout, specifically with light tackle, in Raquette Lake, Hamilton Co. I don't use downriggers so I'm using <10lb test lines and less than 3oz. weights. Right now I've had some sucess by drifting and using soft plastic baits and light spoons. Basically I favor windy afternoons and evenings; haven't had much sucess in the mornings since they're too quiet for my techniques.

I'm a catch and release fisherman, but I'm striving for that 10 pounder to have mounted.

I'd like to know about using sinking plug techniques and how to get them down to 55 ft.

Anybody sharing?
