Went out today to Penbyrn Lake..... cloudy day, so I figured it to be a good day to try this deep lake with crystal clear water.... Well, caught 8 bass in about 4 hours of fishing.... 5 on drop shot....3 on jigs... sounds like a good day but all the fish were 10 to 12 inches in size. I've fished this lake about a dozen times now and have caught a ton of fish, but only 2 of them were near the 2 pound range.... all the others were the same as today... small fish... I don't get this lake.... it has plenty of structure... tons of baitfish... deep water..... and no big bass. I've talked to many other anglers I see out on the lake and get the same reply... a lot of small bass... but no larger fish.... this lake has me stumped.....
