Details:Fly fished the mouth of the Pawcatuck River starting 5:00am. Picked up several stripers in the 24 to 28 inch range. Found fish around rock piles. Lost 4 flies to bluefish that were mixed in with the stripers. Tried outside Sandy Point. Only caught one striper. The surface was glass smooth with no wind. Fish spooked easily.
Top fly was chartreuse Blonde sixe 2/0.
