Details:Got off early today and headed for Morse's Pond in Wellesley. My son and I had a pretty good afternoon. 5 species today - LMB, pickerel, pumpkinseed, yellow perch and white crappie. The pickerel were aggressive but small. I caught several nice sized largemouth and many smaller ones. I was casting a light green with red fleck KVD finesse worm and that was the bait of the day. The fish wanted slow fall rates, slow retrieve with an occasional jerk. I tried my tried and trusted floating Rapala but it was snubbed, and the same with my willow bladed spinner baits. At least I found what they wanted.

I have found most of the bass I've caught have taken it on the fall or a slow drag retrieve and usually close to shore couple quick jerks usually get you a pickerel or sometimes and indecisive bass that has followed the bait a bit.Nice day!
