Morse's Pond

Had an early start to the weekend! Jumped in the canoe with my son, despite threatening weather. The fishing (catching) was slow for the first couple of hours. A couple claps of thunder chased us from the water to shelter and after the front moved through the catching picked up. It rained like hell but the fish are already wet! We caught 23 fish in all, 5 in the first 2 hours and the rest in the last 1 1/2. All the LMB were showing signs of post spawn and all were in the 1 1/2 lbs to 2 1/2 lbs range. A pretty good start to the weekend, for sure.
