269 Common St Dedham Fishing Report

I met my buddy and his friend at my trusty carp and catfish spot with my kayak. After hanging out for a half hour, I had to get on the water. The fish finder wasn't spotting much, and I didn't have much hope... After an hour-and-a half of nothing, I thought of throwing in the towel. A few other people were carp fishing and looking for advice. One guy caught a 2.5" sunfish. I grabbed it for bait.
I pushed off for one more cove that I'd seen activity at before. I tossed out the sunfish and worked a tw frog for a few minutes. I had one nice hit... I tossed the sunfish in the area that I had the hit.
The sunfish started going bonkers, and bam! It was long gone with drag peeling... I set the hook... He fought like crazy and did a few spectacular jumps. Certainly the biggest pic I've caught in a while.
I wouldn't really recommend the spot for bass and pics, but I certainly left happy tonight (a lot of work, and live bait, for one fish). It's a great spot for carp and white cats...
