Malaga Trips
In the last month I hit Malaga lake several times with pretty good success... Caught a lot of fish, especially pickerel but nothing really huge.... Nailed a few bass in the two pound range.... most all fish caught on frogs, mepps #3 gold blade spinner, and silver and black rapalas. Most fish caught in the pads... Pickerel were in there thick chasing tons of baitfish!! I was using the frog in the pads and throwing the rapala and spinner in the open pockets....Had a great time since the action was none stop! Lost one nice bass around 4 pounds on the spinner... Saw it chasing baitfish (thought it was a pickerel) and threw the spinner at the edge of the pads.... bang.... fought it for a short while - then it jumped clear out of the water.. probably around two feet above the water ... flipped around and shook the lure.... yes,,, I wasnt happy..... but all in all... that lake is hot right now...
