Malaga Lake Trip
Went to Malaga Lake yesterday, 11/5/14. Decided to go there since there are a ton of pickerel in that lake as well as some decent bass. I figured I'd have a good day of action catching pickerel all day and maybe a few bass... well, I did catch several pickerel, (not as many as I thought I would have), but the best part of the day was the five pound bass I nailed in the pads on a white spinnerbait. He nailed the damn thing and when I set the hook I knew it was a pretty big fish... My eyes popped out when he came up to the surface and I first saw it... never expected to catch a bass that large in Malaga. The place gets pounded by fisherman and I have fished it a lot this past summer and didnt catch any bass that size. Needless to say, it was a great day.. Photo is posted in my photos.
